A Perspective On... Jean-Claude Chevalme

I was born in 1946, raised in France, and became an atheist/existentialist. Hungry for freedom, at age 17 I went roaming the world working for a French cruise line. In 1968 at age 22, I moved to the USA. In November of 1978 in Portland Oregon I repented of my sins and gave my life to Jesus Christ. In January 1980 God sent me to Las Vegas where I have lived ever since. Because of the spiritual context of this city, I have learned many lessons in relation to the purpose of God for the body of Christ that I could not have learned anywhere else in the USA.

For many years of my life as a believer, I served the church in Las Vegas by being involved in many ministries, also serving in coordinating several citywide events, including ongoing yearly ministry with pastors to fulfill the longing resident in my heart since my salvation to see the Church coming together in unity.

In late 1999, in 15 seconds, the Lord pulled the rug from under my feet in regard to this longing, showing me that what He understands by unity is light years away from what we traditionally understand it to be. He launched me in studies that ended up among other important things - making me recognize His call to the body of Messiah to return to the faith that was once given to the saints. Of course, this restoration is only a means to an end. YHWH has also given me a heart to minister to leaders and make them see how the good is the enemy of the best and the best is the enemy of the excellent.

My conversion from darkness to light had a great impact on my life. I had many questions for God. Dad has designed me in such a way that I always long to understand the why and how about all the things He brings to my attention. As a result, the way the Lord has given me to teach is designed to Cast down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ (2Co 10:5) both for those who are already saved, and for the elect. What the Lord has taught me over the years has developed into a seminar that I call The Bride Has Made Herself Ready. I believe we are in the final years of this age and that Yeshua will return very soon to establish the kingdom; we must all prepare to meet our God, and do our part to prepare the way of the Lord.
